Finding the perfect makeup to compliment your lashes and not ruin them has always been a struggle, but not anymore thanks to these eyelash extension approved makeup products:
Let's start from prep to finish.
Moisturizer: We all want young, luminous skin, so here is a list of incredibly moisturizing products (minus the oils and thick creams of course):
Sunscreen: What’s the point of moisturizing if you aren’t shielding yourself from the sun + wrinkles? These sunscreens are mattifying, because oils and eyelash extensions are not friends:
Eyeshadow + Eyeliner:
Shadow- Anything Tarte! Tarte eyeshadow palettes contain 0% oil in their shadow ingredients compared to numerous other beauty brands- it’s like Tarte was made specifically for eyelash extensions…
Eyeliner- Powder eyeliner all the way. Why? Creams, pots, and liquids cake onto the lashes making it nearly impossible to keep your extensions squeaky-clean.
Concealer: Lash extensions hide our sad, short, and stubby straight lashes and concealer hides our designer bags under our eyes. Here are a few concealers that will stick to your under eyes and not to your eyelash extensions:
Pro Makeup Tip: The majority of concealers out there contain glycerin (oil) that is not ideal for eyelash extensions. To ensure that the concealer you use under your eyes doesn’t jeopardize retention - be sure to set your concealer with a loose powder!
Setting Spray: Ready? Set? GLOW. Setting spray can be your best friend and worst enemy all at the same time. It can set your makeup to make it last for hours on end and can also close all of your perfect fans thanks to polymer (the common ingredient used in the majority of hairspray and setting sprays). Luckily enough for you, there are plenty of affordable and lash extension safe setting sprays that won’t cause your fans to close up on you!
Primer: To prevent your makeup from melting into your lashes here are 2 top notch oil-free primers.
